A family motor car · London & the Home Counties
A family-owned 1982 Rolls-Royce Silver Spur, carefully preserved for chauffeur-driven weddings across London and the Home Counties.
Restoration conceptAI-assisted visualisation based on the family car
01 — The motor car
The Silver Spur is the long-wheelbase expression of Rolls-Royce’s early SZ-generation saloon: built at Crewe, unhurried in character and unusually generous to those travelling in the rear.
This example is being conserved, not reinvented. Original leather, polished veneer and family history will be preserved wherever sensible, while safety and reliability remain absolute.

02 — The experience
A personal service built around one important car and one important day—never an anonymous fleet booking.
Collection, route and timings agreed directly before the day.
Conservation-led preparation, wedding ribbons and time allowed for photographs.
A professionally dressed driver and calm, attentive service throughout.
The long-wheelbase compartment gives the dress—and the moment—room to breathe.
03 — The restoration vision
A preview of the restrained, period-correct presentation being worked towards—quietly elegant, never overdone.

Concept imageAbout these images: the workshop photograph above is the genuine car. The polished photographs are AI-assisted restoration visualisations derived from that archive image. They are included for design review and will be replaced by professional photography of the finished car.
04 — The wedding day
Provisional launch packages while restoration and operating arrangements are completed.
01
Planned from £395
A short local service focused on a composed, beautifully timed arrival at the ceremony.
02
Planned from £495
Collection, ceremony arrival, photographs and an onward transfer to the reception.
03
By quotation
For longer celebrations, additional stops, unusual timings or journeys beyond the local area.
Prices are provisional until restoration, insurance and operating arrangements are complete. Every quotation will include travel from the operating base and all agreed waiting time.
05 — Prepared properly
The Silver Spur will not carry paying passengers until the work, evidence and protections expected of a professional wedding service are in place.
Services will operate only after all applicable vehicle, insurance and licensing requirements have been confirmed.
06 — The family story
The car has been part of the Irving family story for many years. Its next chapter is a sympathetic restoration that respects what survives: the leather, the veneer, the engineering and the quiet atmosphere only an original motor car can carry.
Once complete, a limited programme of weddings will help keep it maintained, exercised and preserved for the generation after this one.
07 — Questions
If your question is not here, include it with your expression of interest.
The 2012 workshop photograph is a genuine archive image of the family car. The polished wedding and country-house photographs are clearly labelled AI-assisted restoration concepts: they show the intended mood, not the car’s current condition or a promise of its exact final finish.
The initial service is planned for London and the Home Counties, normally within about 25–35 miles of the operating base. Longer journeys will be considered individually and quoted with all travel included.
Only after the restoration, specialist inspection, voluntary MOT, insurance and operating arrangements are complete. You can register interest now, but no date or price is binding and no deposit will be taken.
The long-wheelbase rear compartment is especially generous and ideal for a bride, groom or couple. Final comfortable capacity will be confirmed after the interior and seat-belt inspection.
That is the intention. Ribbon colour and any other decoration will be agreed in advance and fitted without risking the paint, brightwork or original trim.
A formal backup, substitution and refund policy will be published before deposits are accepted. A reciprocal arrangement with another established wedding-car operator is part of the launch plan.
No. The Silver Spur will be offered only as a chauffeur-driven wedding service and will never be available for self-drive hire.
Not at launch. The service will initially be limited to weddings and civil partnerships, subject to all applicable vehicle, insurance and licensing requirements.
08 — Begin with a date
Tell us a little about the day. This is not a booking and no deposit will be requested while the car remains in restoration.
